惠休以诗名世，文辞斐然，与鲍照一起引领了大明、泰始文学的俗化风尚，于后世文学、文士影响深远。经考，其于大明二年(458)，因“自非戒行清苦”而被孝武帝“敕令”还俗；平生所结交之文士有鲍照、徐湛之、吴迈远、谢超宗等。

英文摘要:

Hui Xiu was famous for his poems, which is gorgeous. He led the literary style to be gaudy with Bao Zhao in Da Ming and Tai Shi period, and he made a profound influence on later literature. It was proved, Hui Xiu was ordered to resume secular life by emperor in 428 A. D. , because he didn′t keep the Buddhist precepts. Hui Xiu has made friends with scribes, such as Bao Zhao, Xu Zhanzhi, Wu Maiyuan, Xie Chaozong.
