| Cohesion and coherence are important terms in text analysis.Text analysis,which is closely related to the understanding and expression in translation,has been studied in translation theories.Chinese poems are texts of peculiar structure.In order to achieve literary elegance,one needs to study and use various means of textual cohesion,thus making the translation natural and coherent.By analyzing cohesion and coherence and the English versions of some Chinese poems,the thesis explores the feasibility and importance of the study on textual cohesion and coherence in the translating process. |
