| 清乾嘉时期是淮南海盐生产的全盛期。清代著名画家钱杜《煮海八景》图册描绘了清嘉庆年间淮南海盐生产的八个场景,从准备阶段到生产阶段再到收储阶段,都有所呈现。图册还配有元嗣的题画诗,对八景逐帧加以介绍和阐释。《煮海八景》图册及其诗文成为研究清嘉庆年间淮南海盐生产珍贵的参考资料,从中可见在盐滷澄清、露天煎盐、盐色提尖、储盐商垣、场商管理等海盐生产相关方面的演变。 |

| The Qianlong and Jiaqing periods in Qing Dynasty marked the peak of production of sea salt in the Huainan region (mainly present-day Yangzhou, Taizhou, Yancheng and Huaian, Jiangsu Province). The album of Eight Pictures of Boiling Seawater for Salt was drawn by Qian Du, the renowned painter in Qing Dynasty, which depicts eight procedures, including the preparation, the production, and the storage, during the Jiaqing period. Attached are the Prince's poetic inscriptions, which provide detailed introductions and explanations. They have become invaluable materials for studying the sea salt production in the Huainan region during that period, especially the evolution in brine clarification, open-air salt frying, extracting premium salt, storage in commercial salt stockade, and regulation of stockade merchants. |
