University English teaching faces profound transformation in the digital era, with teacher digital literacy development being a crucial aspect. Cultivating digital literacy among university English teachers helps them adapt to changing educational environments, enhance cross-cultural communication abilities, and address data empowerment challenges for comprehensive English education development. English teachers′ digital literacy has unique characteristics, and its contemporary implications can be understood through subject, object, and core content perspectives. To address digital transformation challenges, universities can enhance English teachers′ digital thinking and capabilities by improving professional development systems, strengthening literacy training, and creating supportive cultural environments, thereby achieving effective English education in the digital campus construction process. |
