| The awakening and struggle of female consciousness in the work The Thorn Birds reveals the difficult process of women′s growth and self-awareness in traditional society. Through its depiction of Meggie and three generations of her family, the novel explores women′s intense struggles against conventional norms in their pursuit of love, freedom, and independence. This not only reflects women′s desire for personal growth and deepening self-awareness, but also has a profound impact on families and society. This study analyzes the novel′s implications for modern women′s pursuit of autonomy, examines its contribution to feminist literature, and explores the social significance of feminine awakening and resistance. The research demonstrates how the novel addresses critical issues of women′s rights and status within patriarchal society. |
