At present, the research on Mao Zedong′s poems in the field of translation studies mainly focuses on comparative reading analysis of translated texts, exploration of translation strategies and methods, with research perspectives mostly focused on the perspectives such as ecological translation studies, the “Three Beauties Theory”, etc. However, it is poor for the research results on the image construction in Mao Zedong′s poems from the perspective of Intertextuality, which is not conducive to the translation, introduction and dissemination of Mao Zedong′s poems to a certain extent. In view of that, this study analyzes the military image(the image of the Red Army and the female militia), the image of the great man, the image of the poet, and the image of the nation in the classic versions of Mao Zedong′s poems at home and abroad from the perspective of Intertextuality. It aims to explore the Intertextuality of the image construction of different versions, provide appropriate ideas and suggestions for the English translation of Mao Zedong′s poems and thus constantly boost the “going global” of Mao Zedong′s poems. |
