| Since the new period, Yancheng, as a prefecture-level city, has been in the forefront of modern drama creation in the country. It has provided outstanding works for each stage of drama creation and performance, and won many national awards in national drama creation competitions, including the Government Wenhua Award and Cao Yu Drama Award. Yancheng modern drama has achieved a historic breakthrough from "plateau" to "peak". With its rich and excellent performance in creation, it is praised as the "Yancheng phenomenon" of modern drama creation by experts. |
