Local universities′ scientific and technological innovation significantly promotes regional scientific and technical progress, economic growth, and social development. Based on the ecological perspective and using the environmental position theory, this paper constructs the evaluation index system and evaluation model. The entropy value method is used to determine the index weights and evaluate and analyze local universities′ scientific and technological innovation capacity in the Yangtze River Delta region from 2016 to 2020. It is found that there are apparent inter-provincial differences in the science and technology innovation capacity of local universities in the Yangtze River Delta ecosystem. The study suggests that: at the level of government, a cooperative mechanism for collaborative development should be established, and a guarantee mechanism for long-term operation should be improved. At the level of colleges and universities, they should lay out characteristic and advantageous discipline clusters, build a collaborative education mechanism between government, industry, academia, research and application, improve the transformation and application system of scientific and technological achievements, deepen the reform of talent system mechanism, and coordinate and promote the collaborative development of scientific and technical innovation capacity of local colleges and universities in Yangtze River Delta region. |
