| The Feather Pillow is one of the most famous short stories written by Horacio Quiroga, who is considered as "the founder of the Latin American short story", and is included in the short story collection Tales of love madness and death. Most of the stories in this collection revolve around the three themes of love, madness and death, and the three are intertwined and closely connected. Taking The Feather Pillow as an example, this paper analyzes the connection between the three from the perspectives of narrative details, psychoanalysis and fatalism, and draws the conclusion of the inevitability of death. |
