| The Boarding House is one part of the Short Story Collection Dubliners by James Joyce. From the perspective of Ecolinguistics, The Boarding House shows a society in which the social ecosystem, the religious ecosystem, the marriage ecosystem and the spiritual ecosystem are all out of balance. In doing so, Joice sought to awaken and spur his fellow citizens to the truth, to rebuild a balance of Nature in Ireland, and to inspire future generations to create a harmonious ecological environment. |
