| Based on a study of the existing Shi clan genealogy, unearthed cultural relics and handed down documents, it is found that there are many doubts in the Shi clan genealogy preface written by hen Guang-de, such as whether Shi Nai-an was born in Suzhou, whether the Shi clan was a distinguished family, Chen Guang-de's rank of scholars and the time that the preface was writed, etc. The purpose of the work is to enhance the credibility of Shi clan genealogy. |
