| The epitaph stones and grave ownership certificates unearthed in Yancheng City with reliable inscribed records, have irreplaceable historical reference value for the study of local history. By combing these epitaphs, we will obtain the real knowledge of Shi Naian's hometown, get to know Taizhou school, Yancheng Qianhusuo(a military organization), national examination system, the changes of Yancheng place names, and so forth, which will play a unique and significant role in the cultural construction in Yancheng. |
