| The essay introduced the Conceptual Metaphor Theory in great details, and explored tentatively how to apply this theory to the practice of English vocabulary teaching in class. Then came to the conclusion that Conceptual Metaphor Theory is of great significance to both the teaching and learning of English vocabulary, and that the cultivation of the ability of metaphorical thinking will surely contribute a lot to the mastery and application of English. |
