| The folklore value of Liu Ren-qian's novel "Xianghe" is greater than its literature value. It depicts the ecological purity and beauty of rural Xinghua, represents the production style and way of life in the Big-collective Era, and describes in detail the customs in the Lixiahe Region. Idiomatic XingHua dialect is employed in the novel “Xianghe”. In the tide of urbanization, the rural conditions and customs in Lixiahe Region displayed in "Xianghe" seem to be exquisite and valuable. |
