Maxine Hong Kingston, a contemporary Chinese American writer, showed her intercultural narrative strategies in Chapter Two The White Tiger in her novel Woman Warrior by portraying Hua Mulan as a modern woman warrior with Chinese and western cultural elements. This paper focuses on how the author constructed an intercultural space with the Chinese and western religious cultures by adapting and using the stories of Bible, Buddhism and Taoism in Chapter Two of Woman Warrior. The construction of the intercultural space and the portrayal of Kingston's "Hua Mulan" make it come true in the text that man and woman have a cross-gender dialogue and meanwhile express Kingston's strong desire for changing the male-dominated model of gender opposition.
