      女娲氏是中国人的始祖神、创世神,女娲神话是中国的创世神话,对中国文化影响深远.女娲补天的故事对中国文学,特别是古代小说产生持续影响.“补天石”在古代小说中出没幻化,在《豆棚闲话》、《红楼梦》、《五色石》、《新石头记》等书中一再现身,从五色之石到幻形入世,“补天石”经历人化的过程;“补天石”故事在小说中不断发展,反映出时代变化,也反映出人对自身生存对文明认识的发展,更反映出小说的演变.

      Nü Wa,who made men by molding yellow clay and melted stones of five colores and used them to mend the cracks in the sky,is regarded as the great mother of the human race and the genesis gods in Chinese myth.Her legend serves as a beginning of ancient Chinese myth and has a far-reaching influence on Chinese culture.The story of Nü Wa mending the heaven also has a long-lasting influence on Chinese literature,especially the ancient Chinese novels.The last five-coloured stone left after Nü Wa mending the cracks in the sky,appeared in ancient Chinese novels,such as " Beans Canopy"," The Story of the Stone"," Wu Se Shi"," New story of the stone" and etc again and again,not as the stone itself but as persons that the stone magically changed.The story of " The last five-colored stone" is developing all the time.It not only reflects the change of times,the development of people’s conscious of the significance of living and civilization,but also reflects the evolution of ancient Chinese novels.
