| General ZHANG Ai-ping was a brave warrior of the New Fourth Army.He not only established the anti-Japanese base of North Jiangsu province,commanded civil-military reverse mopping-up to the puppet army and won a serious of shaking successes,but also created a lot of poems in the gaps between the battles and busy military affairs.These poems recorded the fighting footprints and glorious combat gains in Yanfuhuai district and gave a vivid description to General ZHANG Ai-ping who was an equally accomplished man of letters.The words used in his poems were popular,filled with distinctive descriptions,strong heroic emotion that achieved a perfect combination between artistic features and politics.The poems had become one of our most precious wealth of the spirit and culture. |
