| Engraving is an important category of plastic arts.It contains watercolor,gouache,sketches,manuscript illustrations,posters and so on.Many people believe that engraving is the "Western" art like oil paintings.But in fact,the birthplace of engraving is China,whose unique manufacturing craft is inseparable with the traditional printing technology.We will take time as the clue and make a comparison and research on the engraving art of the same historical period between China and the West—Ming dynasty and the western Renaissance Period. |
