| In One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,Ken Kesey subverts the traditional images of rogue,Indian,woman and the black.These marginal groups who used to be excluded by the mainstream society embark upon the political venture in the Cuckoo’s Nest,epitome of the American society of the sixties of the twentieth century.It not only reproduces the conservative and silent fifties but also predicts the nonconformist and uproarious sixties,being the certain product of the turbulent and uproarious Counterculture Movement as well. |
