| "There be +NP +PP"and"NP1 有NP2"are two typical existential constructions in English and Chinese respectively commonly used to indicate stative existence.They are similar in some ways.But they have their own particular characteristics when they are used in their own languages.In this article the author tries to analyze the two structures and to apply the results to the practice of translation. |
