| The article conducts a comparative study of Elizabeth Bennet and Charlotte Lucas in Pride and Prejudice from a feminist perspective. And it analyzes the reasons that lead to the different marriages between these two women with so similar family birth and social status.It is not difficult for us to perceive Austen’s affirmation and approval of Elizabeth,who definitely embodies Jane Austen’s progressive feminist ideas that are of profound and everlasting social significance. |
