| Torrent Trilogy by Ba Jin and Four Generations Under One Roof by Lao She are the two great long novels born in 1930s.Both of them told stories about the fate of a large family in the war,and described the characteristics of Chinese under the enslavement of feudalism and war.However,the different backgrounds and writing purposes make the distinguishable features in themes and characters. |
