| Survived from "Wannan Affairs",Yang Fan come to Yancheng and worked under the direct leadship of Chen Yi,the acting commander after the re-estaldishment of the headquarters of the New Fourth Army.He actively devoted to the cultural undertakings of the base,the building of "Cultural Villages",the founding of "Lake and Sea Arts Society".Besides,he united with all celebrities,publicized the Anti-Japanese War,carried out a series of cultural activities effectively for the New Culture Campaign in North Jiangsu,which evoked repercussions from middle China to the whole nation. |
