| With the care and support of Shaoqi Liu,Yi Chen,etc,the military and political leaders of the New Fourth Army,from October 1940 to August 1945 on the basis of the anti-Japanese warfare the New Fourth Army in the Yancheng area carried out artistic activities including literature,music,the creative arts,drama performances,singing and so on to propagandize anti-Japanese,display the new life in the base areas and embody the cultural theme of the base areas in the north of Jiangsu province.The artistic activities were in different forms and various kinds,which had a significant influence on the struggle and the cultural activities of the base areas in the north of Jiangsu province. |
