| 在汉英翻译中,人们很注重对实词的处理,而易于忽视虚词.确实,在对内容的陈述,对形象个别或整体的展现上,实词的语法作用不可低估;而这并不是说那些虚词就不重要或可以在翻译过程中忽略不计.事实上,某些虚词在文中的作用不可不注意,它可以活跃实词,使篇章生动.从虚词着手,以文言和白话虚词为例,强调虚词在翻译中也有着不可忽视、省略和跨越的地位,讨论了翻译中虚词的处理方法. |

| In the process of translation,much attention may be paid on autonomous words,while less or none on empty ones.Actually,empty words sometimes function well in intensifying the effects.This paper aims to explore translating methods for empty words by citing them both in vernacular language and in ancient Chinese prose. |
