| The reflection of Confucian hierarchy in economic thought in Pre-Qing Period refers to that one’s possession and consumption should match his social status and that professions taken by different people should agree with their own social ranks, either noble or humble. This sense of hierarchy, born under certain economical and cultural conditions, is harmful to the fair social competition, the growth of market economy, and the sound social development in every aspect. |
