| After the outbreak of the all-out Anti-Japanese War, under the instructions of MAO Zedong, the New Fourth Army troops marched into central China and opened up the anti-Japanese base behind the enemy lines in central China. Under the correct leadership of the CPC Central Committee and with the great assistance of the New Fourth Army, the anti-Japanese base areas in Central China carried out fruitful construction work, including plementing the new democratic regime of "Triple-Three Systems”, reducing rents and interest rates, organizing mass production campaigns, and developing cultural and educational undertakings. These measures not only made the people in the central China anti-Japanese base enjoy unprecedented democracy and freedom, but also a big change and improvements of economic and cultural life. All these greatly consolidated and developed the central China anti-Japanese base areas. And laid a strong political, economic and mass foundation to the overall victory of the anti-Japanese War. |
