| "The Call of the Wild" takes animals as the main character. Through vivid descriptions of profitable gold diggers in the wilderness, it reveals and satirizes the bad habits of American society in the industrial revolution era. The author Jack London used the relationship between nature, animals and society at the time to indirectly express his severe condemnation of humans' wanton cruelty to animals, violation of primitive ethics, and even wanting to conquer nature. The ecologicalism in "The Call of the Wild" has important values such as protecting the ecology and anticipating natural crises. At the same time, through the complete wolfish transformation of the ending Buck and the return of the wilderness, the value is sublimated to the return of human beings to their true nature and the resolution of human spiritual crisis. The state of mind has high philosophical, literary and human values. |
