| This paper uses Freud's trauma theory to interpret Indian female writer's award-winning work——The God of Small Things, analyzes the physical and psychological trauma suffered by three generations of women in the novel, Connecting religion, class, gender and trauma themes in order to reflect not only the trauma of individual women, but also the traumatic memory of Indian women as a whole. At the same time, it also expresses the concern of Indian women about their living conditions and their strong desire for change. |
