| In 1938, Liu-Shaoqi was appointed secretary of Zhongyuan bureau of the central committee of CPC, after that, in the course of creating a new situation of Huazhong, by consolidate the eastern Anhui base area, and pushing the Eigth Route Army down south and the New Fouth Army in Jiangnan Northword, Liu Shaoji's coordination with the New Fourth Army has dealt a heavy blow to Han Deqin's die hards in Huangqiao, and eventually opened up the Subei base area, and through various effective measures to consolidate the Subei base area. Liu Shaoqi showed his outstanding leadership ability and played an important role in the process of founding, developing and consolidating the Subei base area. |
