| Armed with Gao Zi’s theory that human beings in nature are neither kind nor evil,Gong Zizhen negated the Confucian transcendental "theory of good nature" and shoole the position of Neo-Confucianism by launching a severe exposure of the anti-humannity of Neo-Confucianism in the field of the two relations between"public and private and "reason and desire".He,therefore,laid a solid foundation for the oncoming bourgeois enlightenment movement. |
