| Since reform and openness, the market-oriented reform of china's banking industry is steadily advancing. Especially in the period of “12th Five-Year”, the pace of reform was accelerated significantly. In this paper, we use interest rate liberalization, credit control, market access barriers and banking governance as indexes, use principal component weighting method, measure the marketization process of China's banking industry from 1981 to 2015 with every five year plan as a time period. We find that the marketization of china's banking industry was moving forward in a pulsed manner. If the market system is the main basis for valuation, the degree of marketization of China's banking industry has reached 88. 7435, banking marketization has entered the second half at the end of the “12th Five-Year”. |
